Counseling & Wellness

  • Support Groups

Twice annually, Collins Center offers support groups for adult women who have been affected by sexual harm. These 8-week groups are co-facilitated by Collins Center counselors. Through talk support and creative expression, group members may experience an increased sense of connection to themselves and others.

Groups are typically held in the spring and the fall. Click below to be added to our email list to be notified of future groups.

  • Trauma-Informed Counseling

The Collins Center therapy team uses a trauma-informed treatment approach to guide their work with individuals who have experienced sexual harm or abuse. With extensive training and specialization in the field, our team collaborates to provide comprehensive counseling for children, caregivers, and adults. Collins Center therapists offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), using art, music, and integrated play to suit the unique needs of each individual.

  • Yoga Groups

In addition to our support groups, Collins Center also provides trauma-informed yoga for those who work with and for those who have experienced sexual harm. These 6-week groups are co-facilitated by Collins Center staff and yoga instructors who have received training in trauma-informed movement classes and are held three times a year.
