If you are interested in joining our team as a volunteer or intern, please read the
application process below that best applies to the experience you’re looking for.

Internship Placements
Internships are placements made as part of an academic or professional training
program. Internships usually consist of at least 10 hours per week. If you are
interested in internship placement at the Collins Center, please submit your
application at least 60 days before your internship would begin. You are welcome to
submit applications earlier than this in accordance with the time frame designated by
your program of study. In addition to the application, you are encouraged to submit a
cover letter and resume, which can be mailed to PO Box 1473 Harrisonburg, VA
22803 or e-mailed to info@thecollinscenter.org. After we receive your application, you
will be contacted about our current internship openings. If you are invited to
participate in an interview, you will be asked to bring a portfolio of your educational,
training, volunteer, and/or professional experiences.

Volunteer opportunities
We offer a wide variety of volunteer experiences at the Collins Center. Volunteer
duties include data entry, filing, cleaning, and creating materials for
education/prevention. In most cases, volunteers commit to 10 hours or less of service
per week. Please fill out the application and send it through e-mail to

needs and training opportunities.
